From what to wear to what to say, there are several stressful things to think about when it comes to a first date .
But for singletons in Japan, the worry of speaking to a date is taken out of the equation – thanks to robots .
A firm in Japan is organising ‘robot marriage-hunting parties’ where singletons can talk to each other through the medium of a robot.
The first event was hosted by Contents Innovation Program (CiP) Association last week, where 28 men and women took part.
Ahead of the event, which was first reported by The Japan News , participants completed questionnaires about their hobbies and interests.
Based on their answers, the organisers came up with conversation material, which was fed into miniature robots.
The robots also made three minute introductions on behalf of the particpants.
