Apple’s new ‘eye-roll’ Memoji is going to start a lot of arguments with friends

Get ready for your friends and family to become extra passive-aggressive in the future, because Apple is preparing to launch a big new update that includes several new Memojis, including an eye-roll.

For those who don't know, Memoji are Apple’s unique emoji, which allow s iPhone and iPad users to design their own animations based on a user's own face.

It's been available since 2018, but steadily Apple has added more and more Memoji to make the experience even more personable.

The latest update, iOS 13.4, is only available for Apple's beta testing program at the moment, so, unfortunately, you can't use these new features just yet.

However, it shouldn't be long before the update is deemed fit for purpose and pushed out to everyone in the near future.

In total, Apple is adding nine new Memoji and on top of the eye-roll, users will also be able to show new expressions, which also include:

  • Surrounded by love hearts
  • Praying
  • Crossed arms
  • Blowing party streamer
  • Face with tilting hand
  • Head behind laptop
  • Shocked face

  • steam from nose

And as mentioned, the eye-roll Memoji, which seems to be the one every user has been secretly pining to use for months.

Writing in September, one user tweeted, “They need an eye-roll memoji,” while another asked in November: “Why isn’t there an eye roll memoji?”

There's more responses like the above, but you get the picture. People are craving for that judgemental animated response for months.

These are not the only features being tested in iOS 13.4 though.

According to macrumors.com, the update also includes a new "Shazam It" shortcut for quickly identifying songs as well as "hints" of a new "CarKey" API.

For those wondering, 'what's that', it would essentially allow you to use your iPhone or Apple Watch to be used instead of a car key – but obviously only for vehicles that support NFC.
