Apple hid a secret message in its iPhone 11 event video – here’s what it says

Following the iPhone 11 launch event on Tuesday, Apple released a "supercut" condensing all the announcements down into a two-minute video.

The video covers the launch of the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro models, the new iPad, the Apple Watch Series 5, as well as announcements about Arcade and Apple TV+.

However, eagle-eyed viewers noticed that Apple also sneaked a secret message into the video.

First spotted by Gcarsk on  the r/apple subreddit , the "easter egg" appears around the 1.23 mark, right after the narrator says "the best-selling PC".

For just a fraction of a second, a classic "blue screen of death" pops up – similar to what you might see when something goes wrong on a Windows computer.

The first line text read "Error 09102019" – a nod to the event's September 10th, 2019 date.

Below it reads: "This is just a thought. But it might be nice to have some sort of easter egg message in here for the hard core Apple fans that will stop the video."

This is followed by a series of numbers that many will recognise as binary:

01010011 01101111 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01110100 01101111 01101111 01101011 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01110100 01101001 01101101 01100101 00100000 01110100 01101111 00100000 01110100 01110010 01100001 01101110 01110011 01101100 01100001 01110100 01100101 00100000 01110100 01101000 01101001 01110011 00111111 00100000

If you put those number into a Binary to Text translator, the true secret message is revealed:

"So you took the time to translate this? We love you."
