Amazon’s range of Echo devices has grown steadily over the last few years, with the company offering all kinds of ways to introduce customers to Alexa. In fact, the company has introduced a whole new wave of devices that’ll be available to purchase over the coming months – including new wireless earphones, and a rival to Apple’s HomePod with the Echo Studio.
You can use Alexa to play music or provide handy information. For example, Alexa can tell you if you’ll need an umbrella when leaving the house, or help you convert units of measurement. It really is like having an assistant on hand at all times, especially when you use it to screen video calls on devices like the Echo Show range or add a reminder to your to-do list.
In fact, some devices have already seen a hefty discount – with the Echo Dot now down to just £34.99, a great starting point for those beginning their smart tech journey.
We’ve rounded up the prices for the current device lineup, but with Black Friday around the corner we’ll be updating these regularly – so be sure to check back for a bargain. We’ll also add the new devices as they become available.
Amazon Echo Dot
This dinky little speaker comes with a nice fabric finish, and offers sound that’s up to 70 per cent louder than the previous iteration. It also has a 3.5mm connection so you can plug your phone or any device into it, while obviously also offering Bluetooth speaker functionality.

Amazon Echo
The bigger, louder brother of the Echo Dot, the increased size of the Echo offers a much larger sound profile whether you’re listening to Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Music or anything else. This is because it offers two speakers rather than the Dot’s single one – with one woofer and one tweeter to offer high and lower frequency sounds.

Amazon Echo Plus
Offering the same functionality as the standard Echo but with a built-in smart hub and temperature sensor, the Echo Plus can allow you to use Alexa to control various smart home devices you may have installed. For example, if you have Smart tech in your lighting, you can turn the lights off with your voice. It also has a temperature sensor, so it can control the heating based on

Amazon Echo Show 8
If you want a screen, your best bet is the Show 8. The 10-inch version is considerably pricier at £219.99, but the Echo Show 8 is an ideal addition to your kitchen, lounge, or dining room. It arguably makes the Echo Spot redundant. It can show you cooking tutorials, Netflix, or make video calls when your hands are full. It launches on November 21, but you can pre-order at Amazon for £119.99. We’ll add more retailers as they become available.
Amazon Echo Show 5
If you’d rather a smaller screen (perhaps for your bedside table), then we’d suggest the Echo 5. Its 5-inch display is ideal for quick glances – especially since presumably you’re unlikely to use it for video entertainment.

Amazon Echo Sub
Looking to boost the sound of your setup? The Echo Sub offers just that. It’s a subwoofer (as the name suggests), and while it lacks Alexa’s smart functions, it does connect to other devices and adds 100W deep bass with Dolby Atmos support – perfect for your home cinema system. It launches November 7, but you can pre-order at Amazon for £119.99. We’ll add more retailers as they start to stock the product.
New Amazon Devices
We’ve rounded up all the new additions to the Alexa lineup, along with the release date. Some can be pre-ordered now if you’re keen! We’ve got the full rundown, too.
