WWE officially sign free agent Killer Kross and Timothy Thatcher from clutches of rivals AEW – The Sun

WWE have announced the double signing of Timothy Thatcher and Killer Kross to their star-studded roster.

The duo, who were both also wanted by rival promotion All Elite Wrestling, will report to WWE’s Performance Centre in Florida along with the rest of the new recruits.


Confirming the news on their website, WWE wrote: “Timothy Thatcher is a world-renowned mat wrestler widely regarded as one of the toughest grapplers inside the squared circle, and has competed against the likes of Drew McIntyre, NXT North American Champion Keith Lee and Matt Riddle, among others.

“Thatcher is a former EVOLVE Champion and WXW Unified World Champion.

“He’s also been a frequent tag team partner of NXT United Kingdom Champion WALTER.”

They continued: “Kevin Kesar, better known as Killer Kross, is a towering competitor at 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, and has a background in catch wrestling and sambo.

“Kesar has competed in India and Mexico, and was recognized as a rising star of the squared circle by the revered Cauliflower Alley Club in 2018.”

Kross requested his release from Impact Wrestling last year but it was not until December the organisation announced they had come to terms on his release.

The star’s partner, Scarlett Bordeaux, also signed with WWE and reported to the Performance Centre after being granted her release from Impact in 2019.

Just last week WWE announced two huge arrivals at the PC – a pair of seven-foot giants trained by none other than the Great Khali.

Former world champion Khali, real name Dalip Singh Rana, shot to stardom in the world's largest wrestling company following his arrival in 2006.

He was the fourth tallest man to ever compete on the WWE main roster and is now helping to bring through the next generation of talents.

A report on their website read: "At 7 feet tall, 310-pound Gurvinder Singh of Jagadhri is an experienced cricketer and actor that trained for the squared circle under another giant of the ring, The Great Khali.

"Sukhwinder Grewal is another titanic trainee of Khali, standing 7-foot-2 and tipping the scales at 340 lbs. The 24-year-old played basketball before setting his sights on the ring."
