Week 12 fantasy football studs, duds and sleepers: Lamar Jackson could have another big game

Week 12 of the NFL and fantasy football season is here and as always, we have this week’s studs, duds and sleepers.

Make sure to use USA TODAY Sports’ rankings to help as well, and good luck!

Studs

QB Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

He was a sleeper last week, and against an underwhelming Raiders defense, he could put up QB1 numbers, especially if he keeps doing what he did on the ground in his debut.

RB Matt Breida, San Francisco 49ers

The Bucs have trouble containing opposing rushers and Breida can catch passes if the Niners have to play from behind against Jameis Winston. I think he puts up RB1 numbers this week.

WR Tre’Quan Smith, New Orleans Saints

Last week was his first double-digit target game of his career. I’m betting he’ll be the Saints third option – behind Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara – in a pass-heavy game against the Falcons.

TE Cameron Brate, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

O.J. Howard is done for the season, so Brate steps in. This is your reminder that he scored eight touchdowns two years ago and could be a TE1 right away.

Duds

QB Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans

His inconsistency is tough to stomach, as are his interceptions – he has at least one in all but three of his games this year. The Titans are also extremely tough against opposing quarterbacks.

RB Alex Collins, Baltimore Ravens

Will Gus Edwards be a one-week flash in the pan? Or is what we saw last week with Collins disappearing in the second half a trend? Is he a bad fit with the scheme when Lamar Jackson plays? Too many questions to start him with any confidence.

WR Corey Davis, Tennessee Titans

You just can’t trust him. One week he’s getting 10 looks, the next it’s four targets. I’d rather start someone with more upside.

TE Eric Ebron, Indianapolis Colts

This is Jack Doyle’s show now, although you may have to trot out Ebron because of bye weeks and hope for a touchdown.
