Klich, 28, got under the collar of Joe Williams and squirted a water bottle down his shirt as tempers flared between the title-chasing Lilywhites and Bolton.
After Josh Magennis barged into Liam Cooper, the referee awarded a free-kick but players and coaches from both sides clashed on the sideline near the dugouts.
Klich then managed to get hold of the bottle and riled the Bolton players even more, cue further pushing and shoving.
Referee Tony Harrington booked Magennis for the initial challenge and then showed Bolton boss Phil Parkinson a red card for his involvement.
A fuming Parkinson said: "Every member of both benches was over separating it, and the referee came over and sent me off.
"I'm going to ask in a minute why wasn't their manager sent off as he was outside the technical area doing the same, so were all their staff.
"One of their players poured a bottle of water over Joe Williams' head, that's what started it, he didn't even get booked for it.
"Out of 20 staff in the middle of a melee the referee chose to send me off and left all their staff in place."
But while the Trotters' gaffer was understandably seething, Twitter was could not get enough of the incident.
Naturally, Leeds fans lauded their midfielder's antics and were more than happy to rub it in.
One said: "Fantastic s***housery."
Another added: "Top s***housery at work…."
One Leeds fan joked: "Should dock Leeds points for that! And a 200k fine!"
While supporter Alex King said: "Looks to me like he needed cooling down. Good sportsmanship from us as usual."
And even one Bolton fan could not help but laugh.
Simon Olive tweeted: "I’m a Bolton fan and still find this pretty funny. Modern day players are soft as f***.
"Perhaps if my team showed this much aggression when the game is in play then we wouldn’t be in this mess."
Soccer AM tweeted the clip yesterday afternoon and it has been liked by 5,000 people – including the man himself: Mateusz Klich.
Leeds remained two points behind Championship leaders Norwich after holding on for a 2-1 victory against the Trotters at Elland Road – while the Canaries and Sheffield United both won to stay in the top two.
Patrick Bamford scored his fourth of the season – and third against Bolton – with a 16th-minute penalty to put Marcelo Bielsa's side in front but Mark Beevers levelled six minutes later.
Ezgjan Alioski scored a bizarre winner with a quarter of the game remaining.
His cross managed to catch goalkeeper Remi Matthews out and bounced off the crossbar and over the line.
