UFC star Yair Rodriguez produces stunning knockout with ONE second remaining

Rodriguez, 26, pulled off a rarely-seen backward upward elbow with 4:59 on the clock in the fifth round to win the main event of UFC Fight Night 139 in Denver.

Jung was literally just one second from victory as he led on two of the three judges' scorecards before being brutally floored with the stunning move.

The Korean went on the attack with a big left hook but Rodriguez ducked expertly and threw his right elbow up.

He caught his opponent flush on the chin and Jung collapsed to the floor.

The win for the Mexican extended his UFC record to 11-2.

In an Instagram post, Rodriguez said: "Thanks to all those who still believe in me!

"Thanks to @koreanzombiemma for a war and for the respect given by his team, all my respect and admiration. @ufcespanol @ufc Viva Mexico ??"

It was a classy featherweight fight throughout with both fighters landing heavy blows.

Rodriguez enjoyed the better of the early stages but 'The Korean Zombie' hit back well before the pair both looked to do enough to clinch the victory in the fifth and final round.

'El Pantera' now holds the record for the latest finish in UFC history at 4:59 in Round 5 along with Demetrious Johnson.

There is no doubt it was one of the most ridiculous endings to an MMA fight ever and viewers were left gobsmacked by what they witnessed.
