Tiger Woods’ memorable moments on U.S. Ryder Cup team

Tiger Woods is arguably the best golfer of all-time.

Focus and intensity aside, you’d think the 14-time major champion’s talent alone would make Woods lethal in an event like the Ryder Cup.

Not so much.

Yes, Woods boasts a strong 4-1-2 singles record, but at 9-16-1, his combined fourball and foursome record is nothing to write home about. He was winless in his Ryder Cup debut and didn’t earn Team USA a full point until day two of his second event. Before you point out it was just his second Ryder Cup, the 23-year-old already had 12 wins on the PGA Tour to his name, including two majors (1997 Masters and 1999 PGA Championship).

That being said, Woods still has his fair share of incredible moments in the competition. Here are some of his most memorable performances as he enters his eighth Ryder Cup as a player. 

2010 hole-out for eagle

“It went in? It did?”

The U.S. lost a close one at Wales' Celtic Manor Resort in 2010, but Woods' eagle during the Sunday singles matches on No. 12 was one of the highlights of the tournament.
