Thursday racing tips: A Thursday longshot to fill your pockets at Southwell from Jack Keene

Luckily, I'm still socking it to the bookies and have picked out a Southwell sizzler for you all to enjoy on Thursday.

VALLEY BELLE (Southwell, 2.40) can have them singing in the valleys.

She had a horrid run through at Wolves last time, getting checked in the final furlong, and never had much of a chance.

The fact she came 5th despite the trouble speaks for itself and now the classy Josie Gordon takes over from Nicola Currie.

On her penultimate start she went off favourite in a higher grade than this on course debut – and she should find this a lot easier.

Jack Out The Box – Thursday's each-way pick

2.40 Southwell: Valley Belle: 'On her penultimate start she went off favourite in a higher grade than this on course debut – and she should find this a lot easier.'

She's had experience of the fibresand now which should help, and she's also been dropped 4lb since.

Provided she doesn't find herself too wide from stall 8, she should be able to mount a big challenge at a decent price.
