Thierry Henry blows CBS Sports panel away as Arsenal legend reveals his best ever shirt swap | The Sun

THIERRY HENRY blew his fellow pundits away by revealing his best-ever player shirt swap from his illustrious career.

The Arsenal legend joined the likes of Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher and ex-Manchester City ace Micah Richards on punditry duties for CBS Sports’ Golazo show this week.

During the programme, the star-studded cast took part in a Q&A session from questions posed by viewers.

However, when they were asked what the best shirt swap they ever did was back in their playing days, both his colleagues and viewers were blown away by Henry’s choice.

Many an opponent asked the former forward for his jersey at full-time having come up against him during his career, but there is one man’s shirt that he treasures more than most.

And he got his hands on it as a 20-year-old after he had helped France to beat the legendary Brazil side to claim World Cup glory on home turf back in 1998.

Henry answered: “Ronaldo. Final of ‘98.”

That led to huge screams of surprise and awe from his fellow pundits, with Carragher saying: “Wow! Yeah?”

The French striker was then asked where he keeps it, to which he said: “I won’t tell you where it is. But I have it.”

Henry then revealed that Ronaldo had his as well before admitting that all of the other ones he had collected throughout his career were “in a box somewhere” except for that one.

The Brazilian Ronaldo, who fans have dubbed the “real Ronaldo” since the emergence of Cristiano Ronaldo, is regarded by many as the best No.9 of his generation.

Winning the World Cup twice during his career, the man dubbed R9 burst on the scene as a teenager at PSV before going on to represent Barcelona and Inter Milan.

He then joined the famous Galacticos side at Real Madrid, cementing his status as a legend of the game, before finishing his playing days with AC Milan and Corinthians.

Sportswear giants Nike signed him up to a lifetime deal worth a reported £160million because of his brilliance on the pitch – but these days he is in the boardroom after investing in three teams – Cruzeiro, Valladolid and Fort Lauderdale.
