The former Wimbledon runner-up, 36, was participating in the eighth stage of the Rally Argentina, held in Entre Rios.
In the video, Nalbandian can be seen speeding down a straight when he suddenly loses control of his Chevrolet Onix rally car.
The vehicle skids and then flips over, landing on its roof before rolling back onto its wheels in the ugly smash.
Local media claim Nalbandian got out of the car unscathed and managed to drive back to the race headquarters after receiving medical treatment.
One eyewitness, named as Carlos Nosalivish in local media, told reporters: "I was a spectator and a local resident filmed it. It was really startling.
"There was a medical rescue unit and they went to help him (Nalbandian). The safety measures of the car protected him. He got out fine but he was dizzy from nerves."
Nalbandian is currently in seventh position in the Rally Argentina championship.
He retired from tennis in October 2013 and took up rally driving soon after, taking part in the World Rally Championship once.
The Argentinian national reached the final of Wimbledon in 2002, losing to then world No1 Lleyton Hewitt in straight sets.
