A journalist attending the Premier League match as a supporter has alleged Saints supporters aimed sick Hitler and 'gassing' taunts at their rivals.
And the anonymous fan suggested he was threatened by the culprits and another supporter for reporting the shocking chants to stewards.
The Sunday Times claim the journalist was sitting in the Kingsland stand at St Mary's when the incident happened during the South Coast club's 2-1 win on Saturday.
A man in his twenties is claimed to have sung: "Spurs are on their way to Auschwitz, Hitler's gonna gas them again."
The match was said to be just ten minutes old at that point, but when the journalist raised his complaint and said the song was racist, the culprit responded by saying: "You'd better not come back next week."
Later in the game, a fellow Saints fan is then said to have sung: "Same old Tottenham, all need gassing," and "Get in the showers."
The incidents were reported to stewards, yet another fan is claimed to have approached the journalist and warned him: "I'll see you after the game."
Club stewards are then said to have offered to escort the journalist out of St Mary's at the final whistle, a gesture which was declined, and promised to report the matter to the club.
SunSport understands that the club would be keen to look into the allegations although no reports have yet been received from their stewarding team.
It is the latest race incident to have blighted the English game this season, with Chelsea fans being censured by their own club for anti-Semitic chants during a Europa League tie.
A Tottenham fan was arrested for throwing a banana skin at Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in December.
Then Millwall supporters were caught on video chanting racist songs at Everton supporters in their FA Cup tie in January.
West Ham were the next to be blighted when footage emerged of a fan aiming discriminatory taunts at Liverpool star Mo Salah at the London Stadium in February.
