The company tweeted to apologise as would-be gamblers turned to social media with messages like: "Hurry up lads. I need to throw my losing bets on as per."
The Sky Bet statement read: "We're working on a fix for this as soon as possible.
"Apologies for any inconvenience caused."
Leaders Manchester City's home clash with Bournemouth was among the five matches with a traditional 3pm start affected.
And amazingly EVERY game saw a goal by the 20-minute mark.
One anxious pundit said: "If this doesn't get fixed before 2.55pm the fume is going to get real.. come on lads I need my sat 3pm betting fix."
But another tweet poked fun at worried fans, saying: "Bet you're devastated."
Meanwhile, some supporters offered Sky Bet some free technical advice, including: "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
And other goal-hungry gamblers joked Sky was keeping them away from a fortune as their bets today were dead certs to win.
One Wolves fan said: "I demand that all my bets that I can't place before 3pm are deemed winners!"
To which a Leeds supporter replied: "Exactly. I've picked a banker and I can't get it on."
But one man claimed Sky Bet's technical dealys had saved him.
He tweeted: "Good job I was gonna slap £5 on a 1000/1 shout too ?"
