Sex ban could fix Eagles scoring woes: ex-player

As the Eagles’ Super Bowl hangover continues, former linebacker Garry Cobb thinks the team should take a page from Justin Verlander’s playbook.

The Eagles dropped their second straight game Sunday to the Vikings and have yet to score over 23 points this season. Cobb, now a sports analyst with Philadelphia’s Fox 29, offered up a cure for the team’s ongoing woes.

“I would go to drastic measures,” Cobb said Monday. “I think they need to go on a fast. Not food fast, the boys need to be cut off.”

Cobb played parts of 11 seasons in the NFL, including three with the Eagles.

Cobb later added that sex “fogs up your mind,” as the panel of co-anchors attempted to make sense of their colleague’s remarks.

With quarterback Carson Wentz back in action following last year’s season-ending knee injury, the Eagles offense has yet to find the magic from their stunning championship run.

Yet they’re still tied for second in the NFC East, along with the Cowboys at 2-3, and the Eagles are hopeful to right the ship Thursday when they face the 1-4 Giants.
