MANCHESTER United legend Ryan Giggs is snapped enjoying a “hump day” alongside his new DJ girlfriend in the first picture of the couple.
Wales boss Ryan, 45, was photographed smiling next to Helen Stelling Holt, 30, during a night out with former team-mates Nicky Butt and Lee Sharpe.
The picture was taken in 2016 at the trendy Menagerie restaurant in Manchester.
It was posted online — and later deleted — with the caption: “Great to see Ryan Giggs & the boys celebrating Hump Day with us.”
Hump Day is a term used to describe Wednesdays — a reference to it being in the middle of the week and signalling a downward slope to the weekend.
Helen works at celebrity haunt Menagerie as a relationship manager and has been friends with Ryan for several years. But the pair only started dating during the summer.
News of their romance comes two years after Ryan’s acrimonious divorce from wife Stacey, who is the mother of his two children.
A friend told The Sun on Sunday: “Ryan and Helen have known of one another through the Cheshire social scene for a number of years, but became friends more recently.
“They’ve always had a spark, but previously Ryan was never in a position to pursue anything, so they were always platonic.
“Helen’s a stunning girl, and hugely charismatic — she’s pretty well known herself in Manchester circles. They make a great couple.”
The Sun on Sunday revealed this month that Ryan — the most decorated player in British football history — had been on a string of dates with Helen.
Fitness fanatic Helen is a Manchester United fan and earlier this season posted an image on Instagram of her in a Red Devils shirt while posing in an executive box at Old Trafford.
She has also DJ’d at numerous events at the famous stadium.
