Adding yet another accomplishment to a historic rookie season, Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. became the youngest player in baseball history to hit a grand slam in a postseason game.
Acuna's grand slam came against Dodgers starter Walker Buehler in the second inning of Game 3 on Sunday night in Atlanta.
At 20 years, 293 days old, Acuna breaks a mark set my Mickey Mantle. The eventual Hall of Famer hit a grand slam in Game 5 of the 1953 World Series against the Brooklyn Dodgers when he was 21 years and 349 days old.
Acuna hit 26 home runs with a .917 OPS in 111 games during the regular season, making him one of the frontrunners for the NL Rookie of the Year award.
Atlanta had failed to score in the first two games of the series but got a bases-loaded walk to take a 1-0 lead before Acuna's grand slam.
