As one of the few sporting events set to take place, without fans, next weekend, Wrestlemania 36 will have plenty of hype. One of its biggest stars is no longer on the card, however.
Roman Reigns, a three-time WWE World Heavyweight champion, will not perform at WrestleMania this year, according to multiple reports, including ESPN. Pro Wrestling Sheet first reported Reigns' withdrawal. Reigns was scheduled to fight Goldberg for the WWE Universal belt.
Born Joe Anoa'i, Reigns was diagnosed with leukemia at age 22. Now 34, Reigns stepped away from wrestling in October 2018 because the disease had returned. He made his comeback to the ring after he announced the cancer's remission in February 2019.
