P.K. Subban’s showy playing style has always allowed him to find the spotlight more often than most players during an NHL season.
But what the Nashville Predators defenseman is most proud of is that he figured out early in his career how to use his stardom for the betterment of people less fortunate than himself.
“It’s not about getting eyes on yourself,” Subban told USA TODAY Sports in a phone interview. “It’s about getting eyes on the right things.”
On Friday, Subban released video of his fifth annual Holiday Surprise. In the video, he makes a surprise visit to a hospital and around Nashville for Christmas caroling. His special guests included TV personality Ryan Seacrest, model Lily Aldridge and her husband, Kings of Leon member Caleb Followill, and a few Predators, including Filip Forsberg and Roman Josi.
