Yet pound-for-pound, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is right up there with the other two and is surely the most under-rated offensive player in English football.
Aubameyang scored the opening goal for Arsenal to move to 13 goals in the league, one more than both Kane and Salah.
You might not get too much for £56million these days but the Gabon international has proved to be one of Arsenal’s better buys.
On the night Mesut Ozil was subbed at half-time, Aubameyang – along with the industrious Alexandre Lacazette – will wonder how they failed to secure three points by half-time.
In fact, but for home keeper Maty Ryan, he would have scored a hat-trick before the interval.
Nevertheless, Aubameyang has scored 25 times in his 38 matches for Arsenal since arriving from Dortmund.
If Arsenal are to hurt Liverpool in Saturday’s intriguing gam then Aubameyeng needs to take his A game to Anfield.
Incredibly, Liverpool have still only conceded seven goals this season and while Unai Emery’s team could certainly penetrate the home defence, it is difficult to see them keeping a clean sheet on Merseyside.
This entertaining 1-1 draw on the south coast illustrated the good and bad of Arsenal.
Brighton keeper Ryan prevented Arsenal from taking a fourth minute lead by tipping over a first-time lob from Aubameyang after a clever ball over the top from Matteo Guendouzi.
Yet Aubameyang made no mistake with another first-time effort in the seventh minute although it was helped by some laughably bad home defending.
Left-back Bernardo and Shane Duffy were the main culprits before Lacazette played a pass to Aubameyang who guided the ball into the top-right corner.
Despite Arsenal completely dominating, Brighton thought they had levelled midway inside the first half through Glenn Murray but referee Anthony Taylor penalised the home striker for kicking the ball out of Bernd Leno’s hands.
Although unhappy with his defence, Ryan delivered another fine save from Aubameyang before his opposite number at the other end – German Leno – was left stranded for the leveller.
A boot upfield from Davy Propper was inadvertently flicked on by Arsenal defender Stephan Lichtsteiner and Locadia rounded Leno before scoring.
It was Locadia’s first goal of the season and only his second in the Premier League since joining from PSV Eindhoven for £14million nearly a year ago.
There were ironic cheers from the home fans at the start of the season half when it was announced that Mesuz Ozil had been replaced by Alex Iwobi
Yet Arsenal still looked shaky at the start of the second half defensively and Propper dragged the ball wide
Emery’s decision to replace Lacazette with Aaron Ramsey on the hour was booed by the away fans – and the French international also looked unimpressed – but it was not a bad decision as the visitors had lost control of midfield.
That meant Aubameyang moved back into the central striking role and with 20 minutes to go, there was another attacking switch with Ainsley Maitland-Niles replacing Laurent Koscielny –
In the end, it could have been worse for Arsenal and they were thankful for a poor miss from March when he was clean through while Locadia dragged a shot across the face of the goal.
