MIKEL ARTETA has been lauded as "unbelievable" and a "great coach" by former mentee Phil Foden following Arsenal's stunning start to the season.

The Gunners sit top of the Premier League table having won their opening three Premier League games after outclassing Crystal Palace,Leicester and Bournemouth.

Arsenal have earned rave reviews from their dazzling displays as they look a team transformed from the side that narrowly missed out on the top four last term.

Much of their success has been credited to boss Arteta, with Foden not surprised having heaped huge praise on the Spaniard.

Manchester City playmaker Foden worked with the 40-year-old at the Etihad when Arteta was Pep Guardiola's No2, before he departed in December 2019 to take charge of Arsenal.

And after seeing his ex-team-mates Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko swap Manchester for North London this summer, City now trail Arsenal by two points.

"I remember working with him closely after training on some things I needed to improve.

"I know how good he can be as a coach – I think in the right ways to play football.

Foden was then asked whether he will be watching Arsenal's All or Nothing docuseries on Amazon.

The 22-year-old knows all too well about the show as he was filmed daily by Amazon during the 2017-18 campaign where City won the top-flight title as well as the League Cup.

He remarked: "Yeah I’d be interested. Especially when they did it on us (City), it was so good to watch.

"So I definitely think I will have a watch of that and see what it’s like for them and see what’s the difference with us and them.”
