Paul Pogba says it would be a ‘pleasure’ playing with Cristiano Ronaldo and praises Juventus for signing him

Manchester United take on Juventus tonight looking to get their bid to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League back on track.

It will see United star Pogba returning to the club where he established himself as one of the biggest names in world football.

And it will also see the midfielder trying to shackle the explosive talents of Ronaldo – who has made a big impact in Turin since his move in the summer.

Pogba, 25, admits his former club pulled off a major coup when they snapped up Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

He said: "I thought it was a great purchase by Juventus.

"Having Cristiano is always good for the team, playing with great players like him, Messi or Neymar is always a pleasure.

"I think he’s happy to be here and I think it’s a great thing for Juve to have a player who scores goals like drinking water."

United slipped to a 1-0 defeat to Juve in the match at Old Trafford last month, a result which leaves them battling Valencia to finish second in Group H.

But Pogba believes it is a different United side who Juve will face this time round – one that is buoyed by fresh confidence following a return to form.

He added:  "We started to realise we are Manchester United.

"Before that game it was really bad and confidence was low, we didn’t give enough but after the win over Newcastle we came back.

"We played really well against Chelsea, we played all together and when you play together it’s always easier."
