Mino Raiola lays into Man Utd AGAIN by declaring: ‘I didn’t threaten anyone with a gun to buy back Paul Pogba’ – The Sun

MINO RAIOLA has again hit out at Manchester United as the Paul Pogba saga rumbles on at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils' relationship with the Italian super-agent has become fractured over the years, with Sir Alex Ferguson even having described him as a "s***bag".

Pogba is expected to leave Old Trafford in the near future, with the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus having shown an interest in the French World Cup winner.

And Raiola has targeted the Red Devils again in his latest rant against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

He told Voetbal International: "I didn't threaten anyone at Manchester United with a gun to buy back Paul Pogba.

"Alex Ferguson has gone straight against me and Paul, that is allowed, but where was he when his successors bought Paul back?"

It was widely reported at the time that Raiola received a hefty fee from the deal that brought his client Pogba back to England.

And responding to those claims, he said: "That Pogba deal always comes back, because my friends from FIFA are said to have privacy laws to influence public opinion.

"'It is very strange that they are talking about my fee, but that you do not hear FIFA when Ajax gets €150m for two boys. Then it is great and Ajax has done well."

These latest comments come on the back of his scathing remarks earlier this week about Manchester United, a club "out of reality".

He told Italian outlet La Repubblica: "Today I would no longer bring anyone there.

"They would also ruin [Diego] Maradona, Pele and [Paolo] Maldini.

"For Pogba I fought with Ferguson.

"Paul was the only one to say no to him, he never digested this and he took it out on me.

"But now Pogba's problem is Manchester – it's a club out of reality, without a sports project.

"Paul needs a team and a club, one like the first Juve."

United had been a frontrunner in the chase to sign highly-rated teenage striker Erling Haaland from RB Salzburg.

But Haaland, also a Raiola client, instead opted for Borussia Dortmund.

Pogba has been blighted by an ankle injury this season.

Having returned to action from the bench against Watford and Burnley over the Christmas period, the 26-year-old now appears set for another lengthy spell on the sidelines.
