Gareth Southgate last week hailed Harry Kane as the best goalscorer in world football and the Tottenham ace has been prolific in the domestic game for years.
Manchester City star Sergio Aguero is also regarded as one of the global game's greats while Mohamed Salah is on the shortlist to win the Ballon d'Or for his goalscoring exploits with Liverpool.
But Manchester United forward Martial puts leaves them all in the shade with his amazing form in front of goal this season.
For the 22-year-old has been in such blistering form for Jose Mourinho's side this season he has NEVER missed the target when taking a shot at goal.
Martial has had nine attempts on goal in the top flight this season – and has hit the target every single time.
No Premier League forward even comes close to being as accurate, with Raheem Sterling the next best with the City star shooting on target 82 per cent of the time.
His 100 per cent accuracy has seen him score six times – the same amount of goals Kane, Salah and England new-boy Callum Wilson have notched during the campaign.
And, crucially, the United man is also the most efficient – scoring a goal every 104 minutes in the domestic game this season.
Compared with all players who have scored five or more this season, that is better than the strike rate of current Premier League leading scorer Aguero who's eight goals have come at a rate of every 111 minutes.
Chelsea star Eden Hazard is one goal behind Aguero with an almost identical 112 minutes-per-goal compared to Aguero, but still behind the in-form Martial.
Pierre-Emerick Aubaemyang has been producing the goods for Arsenal, but his seven strikes have come every 122 minutes played.
And the next best for economy is under-fire Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata, who despite concerns over his form has scored a goal every 139 minutes he has been on the pitch.
With Martial heading Sterling at the head of the list of accuracy, next comes Hazard who gets his shot on target 76 per cent of the time.
That is just better than Everton's impressive summer recruit Richarlison – and again Morata comes in fifth in the league by this marker with 70 per cent of his attempts being on target.
The only major section Martial falls down on is in the assist category, having failed to create a single goal for any of his team-mates this season.
But where it matters most, United have the player who is the most clinical and the most accurate – boosting his claims to play down the middle in Mourinho's side more often.
Premier League's best strikers – minutes per goal
Anthony Martial – 104 mins per goal
Sergio Aguero – 111 mins per goal
Eden Hazard – 112 mins per goal
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang -122 mins per goal
Alvaro Morata – 139 mins per goal
