Manchester United loanee Cameron Borthwick-Jackson stretchered off in neck brace with head injury after eight minutes of treatment

On loan at Scunthorpe, the 21-year-old defender was involved in a collision during the League One game against AFC Wimbledon.

According to reports, Borthwick-Jackson was treated by medical departments from both clubs, such was the concern after the incident.

Scunthorpe boss Stuart McCall went onto the field to check on the defender.

Borthwick-Jackson is on a season-long loan at Glanford Park after spells at Wolves and Leeds.

He has made 14 first-team appearances for United as well as 10 Premier League matches.


He got experience in the first-team at Old Trafford during Louis van Gaal's reign but has been unable to break through since Jose Mourinho took over.

Scunthorpe are currently 18th in the third tier of English football.

They were beating AFC Wimbledon 3-2 when Borthwick-Jackson had to be stretchered off.

The extent of the injury is yet to be made public.
