The Etihad chief revealed his Belgian playmaker, 27, is ready to return but refused to confirm whether he would start tomorrow's clash.
De Bruyne has been out of action since August with a serious knee ligament injury and was thought to be out until Christmas.
The Premier League champions were worried De Bruyne would miss as much as four months with the lateral collateral ligament [LCL] tear sustained in training.
The Belgian went off to see favourite of Guardiola, Dr Ramon Cugat – a knee specialist who appears to have worked wonders on him.
Now Guardiola has said: "He is ready. I don't know if he's able to play 90 mins but trained really well the last two weeks, no pain and ready to be part of the group.
"He's so important for us, when a player is out I like it when they're back to make us stronger."
The City chief had already hinted De Bruyne could have made a return for the Liverpool clash a fortnight ago – yet he failed to feature in the draw.
While the Belgian could play against Burnley at home, Guardiola may opt to rest him for the trip to Tottenham later this month.
The Etihad giants are growing increasingly concerned over the state of the Wembley pitch for the clash.
The potentially crucial fixture will be staged on Monday October 29 – just 24 hours after NFL side Jacksonville Jaguars take on Philadelphia Eagles at the ground.
