Man Utd captain Harry Maguire brutally trolled for Happy Gilmore shot in LIV-Golf Pro Am.. and even he's not impressed | The Sun

HARRY MAGUIRE was brutally trolled by fans over his Happy Gilmore golf shot attempt.

The shot was made famous by Adam Sandler in the Hollywood blockbuster.

It consists of a small run-up before taking the swing, and Maguire did not get his attempt quite right.

The Manchester United captain seemed to make a good approach but mistimed his swing, which affected his contact with the ball.

As a result Maguire sent the ball way off course, provoking ridicule from his followers on social media.

One said: "Don’t know why he is looking down the range didn’t go that direction 🤣"

Maguire channeled his inner Sandler during a pro-am event he attended ahead of LIV Golf's Andalucia event last weekend.

Brighton midfielder James Milner also tested his skills around the course, as did former Chelsea star Alvaro Morata.

Maguire is available for sale with United setting his asking price at £50million.

The England international was linked with Tottenham earlier this summer.

But United are struggling to offload the unwanted star because he has received a salary increase after the club qualified for the Champions League.
