Man Utd 'ask wantaway players including Paul Pogba to delay decision on future until club pick permanent manager'

MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly asked wantaway stars such as Paul Pogba to delay the decision on their future until the club pick a permanent manager.

Pogba's deal at United is due to expire in June and he is free to negotiate terms with foreign clubs.

Should the Frenchman walk away from Old Trafford for free, it will be for the second time in his United career.

But according to ESPN, the Red Devils are hoping that their next managerial appointment can help convince big stars like Pogba to stay and renew their contract.

However, Pogba is yet to feature under interim manager Ralf Rangnick due to a hamstring injury he picked up in November.

Pogba is said to be a big fan of the German and could be willing to extend his stay in Manchester if Rangnick is handed the permanent job.

SunSport understand that Rangnick has started to convince the World Cup winner that he can build a team around him.

Rangnick also believes that Pogba could be a key member of the squad behind the scenes amid a number of cliques developing.
