Kane and Southgate know nothing about agency promoting them as after-dinner speakers

AN agency which claims it can book the biggest names in football including Harry Kane and Gareth Southgate for after-dinner speaking can be exposed today by SunSport.

Tottenham and England skipper Kane and Three Lions boss Southgate are heavily promoted on the swanky Champions Speakers website.

But the pair, along with ex-England chief Roy Hodgson, revealed yesterday they knew NOTHING about the business.

They were joined by former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger who is also claimed as being someone whose services Champions can secure.

A Tottenham spokesman said: “Harry’s definitely not doing it.”

While an FA spokesman declared: “Gareth doesn’t know anything about that company.”

Crystal Palace gaffer Hodgson added: “I have had no dealings at all with them and am surprised to hear my name is on their list. I will get someone at the club to check it out.”

Frenchman Wenger said: “I don’t even know who they are.”

An entertainment agent who tried to book Kane became suspicious with the response he got from Champions and contacted SunSport.

'DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE'

After-dinner speakers from football are traditionally retired players. But Champions feature super striker Kane — who is paid £200,000 a week — on their website.

They state that Kane, when at corporate events, is “known to cover the following topics: football speaker, sports speaker, maximising success and peak performance.”

When contacted about his supposed availability, a Champions spokeswoman said: “We  haven’t booked him yet purely because of the fee that comes along with it. Sometimes clients can’t pay as much as some players request.

“His diary is ridiculously busy because he has got to work around his games and training as well.”

There are 247 names from the world of football on the website, including current Premier League aces Eden Hazard, Dele Ali and Aaron Ramsey and former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.

Zinedine Zidane — last  week re-appointed as boss of Real Madrid — is also there, while Alisson is described as the “notorious Liverpool keeper”.

The website  features a vast number of testimonials from major businesses  with the quotes featuring supposed customers using Christian names only.

Champions’  CEO John Hayes and managing director Matthew Hayes did not respond to requests for a comment when contacted yesterday.
