United are looking to get back to winning ways having tasted defeat to Manchester City in their last match before the international break.
And three points from the clash with struggling Palace could be enough to see them climb up to sixth in the table.
There was plenty to discuss when Mourinho faced media at the Aon Training Complex in Carrington – here are the key points.
Jose on team news and injuries
"Martial stayed with us, he didn't go to the national team and the national team was aware of his problems and with permission he stayed, he worked really hard on that.
"He's ready for tomorrow, he plays tomorrow. Is he ready to play three in a row in the same week? I don't know. But the most important match is the next.
"Fellaini also stayed, no national team, they also let him stay in spite of playing 90 mins against Manchester City.
"He needed to stay and prepare himself better after such an injury that he had before so Marouane is also good.
"The boys in the national team; Rashford came with a little problem but is ready, Lukaku is ready, I would say ready with a little bit of a risk but ready and Paul (Pogba) we knew with this break he would recover from that small muscular injury.
"So we don't have players I can say are out of the game tomorrow, we have a huge 23 group to choose for tomorrow."
On his comments about player maturity
"I don't play your game. I don't play the game of the take out of context and do what you want.
"I don't play your game and I have nothing to say, I don't lose my time playing that game."
Time for the players to reward fans
"The supporters cannot do more than what they are doing. We went through a difficult period of results and the supporters were fantastic.
"They support the team and in some matches even push the team to different levels of where we were at the time and we cannot ask more from them.
"It's for us to give them and make them to go to an even better level, it is for us.
"Of course we need points, results, we need performances because we also like good performances on top of the points and good results so is up to us."
No panic after City defeat
"We were playing well and getting good results until the end of the last period, of course we lost the last match but I don't consider that at all a bad performance.
"Now we've had two weeks with a small group of players, while waiting for news, good news, bad news in national teams.
"So we've had no time to work together but we were in a good moment, playing well, so why not stay the same, to improve and to get good results because of course we need now to get points to jump in position from where we are in the championship, and next week in the Champions League we need points against Young Boys."
Chasing a Top Four finish
"I know it's a big gap but I also know until the end of December if I'm not wrong we have eight Premier League matches to play.
"And eight Premier League matches we are speaking about 24 points, 24 points for us to fight for the other ones in the top four to fight too – but I believe we are going to be there."
Smalling's contract news
"I don't know, honestly, I don't know."
