Jobless Mourinho looks glum as he watches Federer beat Nadal at Wimbledon as ex-Man Utd and Chelsea boss looks for new club – The Sun

JOBLESS Jose Mourinho looks glum as he watches Roger Federer beat Rafa Nadal in Wimbledon's epic semi-final.

The grumpy Portuguese has been out of work since he was sacked by Manchester United in December.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss turned down a reported £88million offer to manage Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande.

After a reported £24m pay-off from United, you would think a day watching the tennis would be another thing to cheer him up.

But Mourinho is desperate to get back to work, although wants to remain in Europe near his family.

Evergrande owner Hui Ka Yan – the richest man in China – met with Mourinho and offered him £15 a year to manage the club.

Mourinho was also asked to take over the running of the China national team in a dual role.

The 56-year-old is now back in England contemplating his next assignment.

Having seen the mess at United since February, Mourinho's credit rating has certainly gone up as people have realised what an impressive job he did at Old Trafford, winning two trophies and finishing Prem runners-up.

But with most of the top jobs all gone, Mourinho faces an uncertain time if he does want to remain in Europe.

So not even watching Federer's epic 7-6 1-6 6-3 6-4 victory over Nadal could lift his spirits.

Perhaps the fact that he was not invited into the Royal Box could have dampened his demeanour.

Or maybe he wanted Mour strawberries with his sour cream.
