Jack praises ‘supportive’ Swimming Australia after breaking silence

Besieged swimmer Shayna Jack says Swimming Australia has been "nothing but supportive" after meeting with officials from the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority in Brisbane on Friday.

"We've been a unit through the whole process," she said six days after news of her positive test to banned substance Ligandrol broke.

"She's been very honest to date which she doesn't have to be … the next step in the process is that we expect correspondence from ASADA in about four to six weeks but beyond that we can make no further comment."

It is expected that the Queenslander was to learn of the level of Ligandrol detected in her system at the briefing, to which she was accompanied by Horvath, her mother Pauline and manager Phil Stoneman.
