French footie star Eric Cantona has won £780,000 lawsuit against New York Cosmos over 'fight'

He was dismissed as the club’s director of soccer in 2014 after a scrap with a photographer outside a London pub.

His claim has been settled for a “six-figure sum”, a source reports.

The Frenchman, 52, said he was only fired so the club could avoid giving him an equity stake.

Official papers revealed the former Manchester United star was seeking £780,000 and a four per cent stake in the club.
Cantona was cautioned by police after the incident. He said at the time: “I had a fight with a paparazzi whom I considered too intrusive.
