Fabregas believes Hazard is staying at Chelsea after Belgian's announcement that he's decided his future amid Real Madrid interest

Hazard revealed this week that he has already made his mind up about where he will be playing next season amid interest from Real Madrid.

The 28-year-old has been stalling on signing a lucrative new contract at Stamford Bridge while Real try to tempt him to the Bernanbeu.

But former Chelsea team-mate Fabregas believes there is only one possible outcome if Hazard says he is already sure about what will happen.

In an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena SER, Fabregas said: "If Hazard has announced he knows his decision already I would bet his decision is to renew with Chelsea."

Fabregas admits there is no doubt the Belgian fancies the chance to strut his stuff at the Bernabeu – even though he personally hopes the winger remains in West London.

In a separate interview with Radio Marca, Fabregas admits Hazard is tempted by the chance to join Real – the club he supported as a boy.

The Spanish giants have been prepared to break the bank to sign him, with Chelsea not keen on allowing him to enter the final year of his current deal and leave for free in 18 months.

Fabregas said: "Let's see what he decides to do. He has a year and a half left and he is happy at Chelsea and so is his family.

"But in the end they are very personal decisions. He likes Madrid and he has always said it.

"Hopefully he will renew with Chelsea, but if he does not he will finish in Madrid."

Chelsea remain optimistic their offer of a £350,000-a-week deal will be enough to convince Hazard to sign on for the remainder of his career.

But they have also been forced to look around at potential replacements just in case the lure of Madrid proves too strong for Hazard to turn down.

That has seen them consider taking Isco from Real Madrid as part of a swap deal, while former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho is another option as he struggles at Barcelona.
