Ezekiel Elliott threatens to pull a Le’Veon Bell in escalating Cowboys feud

Ezekiel Elliott could pull a Le’Veon Bell if he doesn’t get what he wants.

The star Cowboys running back will not play in 2019 if he doesn’t get a new contract, according to ESPN.

The report adds that Elliott not playing is unlikely based on Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wanting to get a deal done, but Elliott apparently has no qualms about sitting out to preserve his body until he gets a big payday. Elliott is currently training in Cabo San Lucas while holding out.

Bell sat out all of last season after he and the Steelers couldn’t agree on a contract extension. Bell then signed with the Jets as a free agent on a four-year, $52.5 million contract.

The Cowboys are looking to give Elliott a deal closer to Bell’s rather than the four-year, $57.5 million deal the Rams gave Todd Gurley, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The ESPN report comes after Eric Dickerson said Monday on FS1’s “Undisputed” that Elliott’s agent told him it’s possible Elliott misses some games.
