Dodgers’ Enrique Hernandez turns tables on critics with humorous ‘ED’ tweet to fans

Humor may be the best medicine for the ailing Los Angeles Dodgers and their fans.

Utilityman Enrique Hernandez drew criticism for saying the atmosphere at Dodger Stadium "didn't feel like a playoff game" in Monday's 4-0 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. But he might have found a way to get back in their good graces.

Before the teams returned to the field for Game 4 of the National League championship series, Hernandez returned to Twitter with what at first appeared to be a stunning admission.

"The truth is, I suffer from ED," he wrote, before adding: "So tonight, let's all bring it. We can conquer Energy Deficiency together."

A few minutes after the tweet, Hernandez sent a longer, more serious message in which he apologized if fans thought his postgame comments were directed at them.

"Tweets can be taken out of context when the whole story is not there and that was the case last night," he said. "I was frustrated because of the way we played and the way I performed."

The Brewers lead the best-of-seven series 2-1. Game 4 is at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
