Gerwyn Price has revealed he has a tattoo of his own name on his back.
Price made the surprise admission in a video for PDC Europe. The 2021 world champion sat down for a question and answer session with fellow pro Rowby-John Rodriguez when the issue of tattoos came up.
Both men were asked who was more likely to get some ink on a night out. Rodriguez, 29, had no hesitation, answering "no" almost straight away. Price, however, fired back with a very quick "yes" that was tinged with a sense that something else might be coming.
The world no.4 looked up at the camera and continued: "It's not random but it was when I was younger." Price then got up from his chair and lifted up his iconic darts shirt to reveal a tattoo on his back.

"It's my name on my back," Price laughed as he showed his nickname "Gezzy" inked on his lower back. Some 22 years on from getting that on his skin, Price clearly wasn't impressed with the decision of his younger self.
"How rubbish is that? I was 16," he said to howls of laughter from Rodriguez, who couldn't contain himself in the chair opposite. Price will be hoping to get back on track after losing to Rob Cross in the semi-finals of the New Zealand Darts Masters last week.

The Welshman breezed past Simon Whitlock and Danny Noppert to reach the last-four but came unstuck against an inspired Cross, who went all the way by beating Nathan Aspinall in the final.
Although Price reached the final of the Premier League earlier this year, he has endured a difficult season, making just one major TV quarter-final so far. He recently crashed out in the second round of the World Matchplay in Blackpool, a tournament he reached the final of 12 months ago.
