The Buenos Aires derby was postponed last weekend after an attack on the Boca team bus by River Plate fans.
Players suffered cuts from the glass from broken windows and were also affected after police fired tear gas to disperse the crowds.
The re-arranged game will now take place on December, 9 at 7.30pm.
SunSport reported last night how Qatar were leading the race to stage the game after offering CONMEBOL, South American football’s governing body, £10m to host it.
The 40,000-capacity Khalifa International Stadium was due to be confirmed as the ground for December 8 but a fierce backlash has led to the home of the Galacticos being used instead.
Fans from both clubs will receive an equal allocation of tickets for the match in the Spanish capital.
Boca appealed to CONMEBOL to be awarded the Copa Libertadores crown without playing due to the violence.

But that has been rejected, with the two fierce rivals set to battle out Argentina’s biggest club match in history in Europe with the tie finely-poised after the 2-2 first-leg.
River Plate have been hit with a £312,734 fine on account of the violence.
Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, has since tweeted: “Spain is ready to organise the final of the Copa Libertadores between Boca Juniors and River Plate.
“The security forces have extensive experience of these situations and are already working on the necessary deployments to ensure the event is secure.”

The crazy River Plate fan was identified and arrested hours after the sickening footageshowing her allegedly putting her child’s life at risk, went viral.
Today it emerged she had agreed to a two-year eight-month suspended prison sentence, after admitting wrongdoing as part of a deal with prosecutors.
The woman, whose identity has not been made public to protect her son’s identity, is now back at her home in the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires after a speedy trial yesterday.
