Black, a retired MMA fighter with a 4-5 record, told RT: “As much as there is so much for each one to gain, there is also a lot for each one to lose.
"If McGregor loses, in my opinion, he will retire. If McGregor loses this fight, he will retire.”
Tout sites are already flogging tickets to McGregor’s comeback fight – almost a week before they go on sale.
The southpaw superstar is set to make his long-awaited return to the Octagon when he takes on Nurmagomedov.
Tickets will go on sale next Wednesday, August 15, for UFC Fight Club members and will then go on general sale that Friday.
But resale site Viagogo are already selling Conor vs Khabib tickets at massively inflated prices even before they’re released.
A single ground level seat with unrestricted views of the fight went for £3,200, while a ticket in row z was sold at £1,250.
A seat in row e will set you back £2,900 while general floor tickets are on sale for £2,400.
McGregor initially teased his UFC return last week after posting a video on social media ahead of a press conference run by the organisation.
The footage shows the star strut towards the camera before his outburst of laughter.
And the Crumlin scrapper's training partner Dillon Danis reckons McGregor will have no trouble taking down the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov.
He has even claimed that the former two-weight king has the edge on the current lightweight champion when it comes to grappling – a notorious strength of Khabib's.
On the Ariel Helwani MMA Show, he said: “I’ve trained with Conor before and I’m a grappler.
“I have trained with a lot of boxers, sparred with a lot of people and it’s not how hard he hits, it’s where he hits you.
