Conor McGregor breaks into Forbes’ top 100 celebrity rich-list with £37.5m fortune despite just one UFC fight in year – The Sun

CONOR McGREGOR has been named as No65 on Forbes' top 100 list of highest-earning celebrities.

The Irish UFC star, 30, earned £37.5million last year despite fighting only once in the 12 months — a humiliating defeat to rival Khabib Nurmagomedov.

McGregor and Khabib sold more than 2m pay-per-view subscriptions and he raked in £24m from the fight alone.

He claimed before the bout that he would rake in £50m, but he took home £100m from the money-spinning Floyd Mayweather boxing match in 2017.

McGregor earned roughly a quarter of what top dog Taylor Swift took home last year, after the American singer raked in £147m, according to Forbes.

Reality TV and entrepreneur Kylie Jenner was second on the celebrity list with £135m.

Lionel Messi was the highest earning athlete with £102m earned for his exploits for Barcelona and Argentina.

McGregor's portfolio includes a healthy chunk of cash from UFC sponsors Reebok worth £4m a year, while his whisky sales also contribute.

He and partner Dee Devlin partied at Longitude festival at Marlay Park on the south side of Dublin.

The festival included names such as Stormzy and Cardi B, as McGregor appeared to be enjoying his time away from the Octagon.
