CHELSEA are hoping to build on their win over Tottenham today but it doesn't get much harder than a clash with Premier League champions Manchester City.
The Blues haven't beaten or scored a goal against City since the Champions League final in 2021, so they have it all to do today at Stamford Bridge.

It's the Cole Palmer derby, folks.
Quite cool to have your name used in a derby by the age of 21.
Anyway, the youngster has hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge, scoring three goals and providing four assists in 10 appearances since his £42million switch from Manchester City.
But how did the transfer go down? Quite awkwardly, actually. I'll just let Pep explain.
He said: "Cole arrived and accepted some processes and then after one or two years said 'No, I don’t want to play here, I am not going to play.'
"But I said ‘Riyad Mahrez is leaving, you are going to get a chance here,’ and he said ‘No, I am not going to play here, I want to leave,’ so I said ‘OK, leave,’"
Sounds like a case of 'I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed' from Pep.

Bonkers
It's all getting a bit silly in the Premier League this afternoon. Goals flying in all over the place.
Raul Jimenez has scored to reduce the deficit to 3-1 against Aston Villa.
Mahmoud Dahood has been sent off for Brighton, who almost immediately saw their 1-0 advantage disappear thanks to Adam Webster's own goal.
Liverpool are cruising at 3-0 against Brentford thanks to a double from Mohamed Salah and one from Diogo Jota.
It's 2-2 between West Ham and Nottingham Forest. Anthony Elanga put the visitors ahead before Jarrod Bowen equalised.
Ten minutes remaining in the lot.

Ch-ch-ch changes
Just one for Chelsea. Mauricio Pochettino starts Marc Cucurella at left-back, replacing replacing the absent Levi Colwill.
As for Manchester City, they make three changes from the team that crushed Bournemouth last weekend.
John Stones and Nathan Ake are replaced by Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias. Phil Foden comes in for midfielder Mateo Kovacic.

Blue streak
OK, two-consecutive wins isn't exactly a streak, but Chelsea have some fairly decent results under their belt in recent(ish) weeks.
They have five wins in their last seven, and arguably should have come away with maximum points against Arsenal having squandered a two-goal advantage.
They received ZERO credit for struggling to break down nine-man Tottenham on Monday in that crazy five-goal thriller, but the fact remains – they eventually did and will be hoping to make further inroads up the table today.

City slickers
Manchester City are in THAT mood aren't they.
It happens every year. Pep Guardiola's side will quite comfortably reel off 12 wins on the spin to propel themselves clear of the chasing pack.
It looks like that's started early this year. The Cityzens have won their last five in all competitions, scoring 17 goals and keeping two clean sheets.
Manchester City's tally of 27 points is their highest after 11 league matches since they had 29 at this stage in 2018-19.
Premier League beware.

This doesn't read too well for Chelsea fans. In recent years at least.
Manchester City have won 1-0 in each of the past four Premier League meetings.
In fact, Chelsea have lost all of their last six meetings against the Cityzens, failing to score in any of those.

Four games are already up and running in the Premier League this afternoon. It's half-time around the grounds and here are the latest scores.
Aston Villa 2-0 Fulham: It's looking like a walk in the park (Villa Park to be specific) for Unai Emery's side. An Antonee Robinson own goal and rocket from John McGinn see them lead Fulham 2-0.
Brighton 1-0 Sheffield United: Cracker this. Simon Adingra plays a one-two with Facundo Buonanotte and coolly slots past Wes Foderingham.
Liverpool 1-0 Brentford: Quite a feisty contest at Anfield today, but it's Jurgen Klopp's side who lead thanks to Mohamed Salah. Just the two offside goals from Darwin Nunez thus far.
West Ham 1-1 Nottingham Forest: Lucas Paqueta gave the Hammers an early lead courtesy of a terrible pass from Nicolás Domínguez. Taiwo Awoniyi levelled things up just before the break.
