Sarri tore into his players following their awful showing when they were brushed aside by Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday.
The Blues boss was looking for a response from his team just days after losing the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final to Tottenham.
He blasted: “I have to say that I am extremely angry because this defeat was about our mentality.
“They were far more determined than we were, I can’t accept that.
“I want to talk about the tactics but it would appear that this group of players are very difficult to motivate."
No one at Stamford Bridge is poised to hit the panic button less than a season into Sarri’s reign, but The Evening Standard claims the squad are not enjoying the training laid on anymore.
The squad want Sarri to shake things up at Cobham as they end up doing the same sort of sessions on a daily basis and monotony has well and truly set in.
Defenders, midfielders and forwards usually train separately on different pitches.
And Sarri even drags his squad in for training on matchdays if they kick-off in the evening.
One session, hours before a game ended up with Alvaro Morata sustaining a hamstring injury.
The former Napoli boss has told the squad he will only pick his Premier League starting line-up from a small group of players.
This has created an air of negativity among some players in training who feel they have no chance of forcing their way into his thinking.
Chelsea will look to overturn the goal deficit when Spurs go to west London on Thursday in the second-leg of the Carabao Cup.
