Higuain finalised his move to Stamford Bridge on loan from Juventus this week, with Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri finally securing his No1 transfer target.
The 31-year-old was initially on loan at AC Milan, before having that deal terminated in order to move to Chelsea.
Higuain's ex-Milan teammates, Suso and Jose Mauri, sent their former striker a message on Instagram, as they commented on a picture of Chelsea’s new signing in his training kit.
Suso commented: "They could give you bigger trousers.”
After the former Liverpool man commented on Higuain’s post, Mauri then followed as he accused the Chelsea newboy of wearing an XXL training kit.
Mauri commented: “They spent all money on you, so they have no more XXL size.”
Higuain's former San Siro teammates were not the only people mocking the strikers physical shape.
After Chelsea announced the signing of Higuain, fans on Twitter accused the 31-year-old of being out of shape.
However, while Suso and Mauri took a dig at Higuain in his new training kit, Chelsea fans were left pleasantly surprised with how their new hitman looked on his first day at Cobham.
One said: "Higuain in really good shape, those who were talking about him being fat, where are you?"
Another added: "Looks in fantastic shape as far as I'm concerned. Can't wait for him to make his debut for us."
While Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo roared: "Anyone who says Higuain is fat is lying. At least not according to these photos. And don't come here with that "photos can be deceptive" nonsense. We like him like that!"
And @Conormurphy2005 simply commented: "He's looking slim."
