The Chelsea legend has been a free agent ever since the end of last season after leaving Aston Villa following their Championship play-off loss to Fulham.
But Terry is in a relaxed mood over his future – and even took the time to head over to Paris and cheer on Team Europe in the Ryder Cup.
After a disappointing morning and 3-1 down to Team USA, the foursomes pairing of Poulter and McIlroy inspired the Europeans to open up a 5-3 lead heading into the weekend.
And Terry was on hand in the French Capital to give them his support, watching the final few rounds with Ryder Cup vice-captain Lee Westwood.
Terry wants to get back playing football though, and was close to agreeing a surprise deal with Russian outfit Spartak Moscow earlier this month.
But in the end he pulled out over family concerns and moving home.
And rejoining Villa appears to be off the cards after boss Steve Bruce admitted that the former England skipper's wages were far to high.
But Terry has kept himself busy, and was present for the tournament's reception before it started – getting his hands on even more silverware in the shape of the Ryder Cup trophy.
A keen golfer himself, the five-time Prem winner will be keeping a close eye on the rest of the weekend in Paris – but will also be keen to sort out his future in football.
He has even been linked to retiring altogether to take up a management position – with Chelsea and Aston Villa keen to use his expertise on the sidelines.
