CHELSEA are reportedly ready to smash their transfer record to beat out competition from Barcelona in the hunt to land Inter Milan's £100million striker Lautaro Martinez.
The front page of Spanish newspaper Sport claim that the Blues and Manchester City have both made approaches for the 22-year-old, and pose a "great danger" to the LaLiga winners' efforts of signing him.
The newspaper adds that one of the two Premier League giants have presented a "totally off-market offer" for the Argentine, who carries a £100m release clause that is valid from July 1st to 15th.
Barcelona consider that figure too high and have already offered Arturo Vidal in an attempt to lower Inter's valuation of their prized asset.
