BRENTFORD have launched an investigation into allegations defender Julian Jeanvier SPAT at West Brom fans.
The vile incident is alleged to have occurred late on at Griffin Park when the Frenchman's momentum took him off the pitch and towards Baggies fans.
Witnesses claim summer signing Jeanvier reacted to verbal abuse from the away end by spitting at fans.
Supporters have emailed complaints to Brentford and a steward is said to have seen the incident.
One fan told the Express & Star: "The momentum of his run when he missed that chance at the end caused some fans by me to gesture at him.
"So he decided to turn around and spit in their general direction, but he sprayed me as well even though I wasn't involved.
"The stewards reported it as soon as it happened thankfully. Pretty disgusting behaviour."
Similar claims were made across social media regarding the incident involving Jeanvier after the loss in West London.
Kyle Edwards scored the only goal of the game that keeps Brentford at 14th in the Championship table.
Jeanvier signed from French Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims for an undisclosed fee in July last year.
The 26-year-old signed on a four-year deal having helped Reims return to France's top flight.
