GEORGE FOREMAN promised to get his revenge next time he is tricked by a Twitter troll.
The boxing legend, 70, shared a picture of gunman Raoul Moat after being pranked into thinking he was a massive supporter.
User @BradleyHilditch tweeted the image and wrote: "@GeorgeForeman hi George. My uncle was a huge fan of yours, you was his favourite heavyweight of all time.
"Sadly he’s lost his life long battle with nits about 8 and a half weeks ago.
"It would mean the world if you would notice this tweet."
American Foreman was none the wiser to who Moat was and retweeted the post – Moat was the subject of a manhunt in 2010 in Northumberland after shooting three people in two days following his release from prison.
Touched by the story of the 'fan', Foreman added: "Means the world to me to read this tweet!
"Thank you for sharing with me. Must have been some man."
Thanks for having my Back! These guys get me every time. Gotta keep up with The News. I gett’m next time. Crazy guys.
But after plenty of genuine supporters made Foreman aware of the prank, he deleted the tweet.
Then, replying to other messages, he vowed to be more careful next time.
The former heavyweight champion said: "Thanks for having my Back! These guys get me every time. Gotta keep up with The News.
"I gett’m next time. Crazy guys."
Foreman was not the only celebrity to be conned by the user yesterday.
He replied to a Liam Gallagher tweet with a picture of Wayne Lineker – brother of Gary.
This time he wrote: "Liam, my uncle was one of your biggest fans. Went to all of your gigs and it would mean the world to him if you noticed this tweet. Died 18 weeks ago today."
Gallagher replied: "RIP my man."
The tweets from @BradleyHilditch received a mixed response – with some finding the prank hilarious and others finding it sick.
