Best horse racing tips for today's action at Brighton, Leicester, Redcar, Ayr and Southwell from Tom Bull

IT'S been busy old weekend in the racing world and Tuesday sees no let-up, with five meetings taking place on British shores.

I've taken a magnifying glass to the cards and come up with my best bets of the day.

Brighton

2.30 – Elysium Dream

Hasn't managed to find her form since winning over this C&D last season, but is now 3lb below that mark.

Her reappearance was full of promise and she can take another step forward now.

Leicester

4.10 – Mulan

Sir Michael Stoute doesn't train many with marks in the low-seventies and his filly is surely capable of better than she showed in three starts last year.

Her handler is a master at improving his fillies as they get older and she can take this weak contest on the way to better things.

Redcar

2.50 – Fantastic Ms Fox

This is a really poor race and one that should go the way of Richard Fahey's filly if she sees out the extra couple of furlongs.

Her second at Beverley last time is by far the best recent form here and she should continue to progress after just four runs in handicaps.

Ayr

8.20 – Addis Ababa

It seems 1m4f just didn't work out for him last time out and now dropped back to this trip he could well have too much gas.

First-time cheek-pieces should perk him up and it would be surprising if he wasn't able to strike off this mark.

Southwell

6.40 – Chetwynd Abbey

Handicap debut and the switch to this surface worked wonders for him last time and a 1lb rise looks very lenient.

Should have more come under these conditions and the drop in trips isn't a problem.
