Joshua’s Matchroom chairman let rip at the Beeb and Fury’s promoter Frank Warren during a radio spat yesterday.
It came after Fury had branded Joshua and his team “s***houses” for snubbing him in favour of an April 13 showdown with Deontay Wilder.
Hearn hit back by claiming Wilder will batter Fury when hey clash in the US on December 1.
Hearn Snr, whose son Eddie is Joshua’s promoter, stormed on Garry Richardson’s Sportsweek show on Radio 5 Live: “I do not believe Fury will be in a position to fight on April 13.”
And Warren replied: “We are on Radio 5 and it is very poor form to negotiate in the public arena. This is outrageous on national radio to try to agree terms on a commercial fight. Radio 5 should be ashamed.”
Hearn also said that even if Fury beats Wilder, Warren’s camp would be too greedy to land the fight with Joshua.
He said: “You are not getting a 50-50 split with the No 1 heavyweight champion of the world.”
Warren barked back that Joshua — who had earlier demolished Alexander Povetkin to keep his belts — had already swerved American WBC champ Wilder by rejecting a £40million offer.
He said: “They don’t want to fight Wilder. If they wanted to, it would have happened on Saturday but they turned it down.”
*******In the original article we incorrectly wrote that Warren had phoned-in to the Garry Richardson show. This was incorrect. He was a guest. We apologise for the error.*******
