Anthony Joshua offers Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller June fight at Madison Square Garden, American's team claims

Miller's co-promoter Greg Cohen has revealed that he has been contacted by the Matchroom supremo for a fight at Madison Square Garden on either June 1 or 8.

Cohen told ESPN: "Eddie has made an offer and we'll see what happens.

"Obviously, for every fighter, promoter and manager what's better than fighting for the heavyweight championship of the world?

"We've been discussing it for a while but now we have an official offer.

"There has been substantial movement on the money and we're under a million dollars apart at his point.

"Fighting for the title against Joshua is everybody's goal but the economics have to make sense.

"I'm hopeful we can get there. We're not there yet.

"But everybody is negotiating in good faith. There has been progress, but we just have to see if we can get there.

"I certainly would love to see Jarrell fight for the title against Joshua. It's Madison Square Garden. It would be in Jarrell's home town. What's better than that?"

Miller, 30, is sceptical the fight will take place though.

The Big Apple bruiser reckons the Londoner will want to stick closer to home and have another go at Dillian Whyte.

Miller told Sky Sports: "[Maybe] AJ fights Dillian Whyte, or maybe I get to knock him out in June.

"We're waiting on finding out exactly what's going to happen with those two guys first.

"I'm not the kind of guy that gets gassed up. When I see pen and paper, then that's when I take it more serious.

"All been verbal talk. We start seeing something formally in black and white, then we'll get a little more serious. Right now it's all talk.

"They are finding ways to make it happen.

"They can, I don't think it was a big problem.

"I think AJ really wants the easier fight, which is Dillian Whyte, but they're trying to give Dillian Whyte the benefit of the doubt."
